A thirteen-year-old boy has gone missing in Abymes and police services have launched an appeal to trace him. Gary Basileu was last seen on Wednesday, 1 July 2026, as he left the accommodation where he is housed by a family assistant.
The facts were revealed by local media RCI.fm, which reports that the alert was raised the following day, Thursday 2 July. Since then, the search has continued without any indication of the young man's whereabouts.
Investigators from the Family Protection Group are mobilised on this case. They are asking anyone who may have seen the adolescent or have any useful information to contact them immediately.
