Drug trafficking in Baillif: three men arrested after 15-month investigation
Three men are being prosecuted for drug trafficking in Baillif, Guadeloupe, following an operation involving more than 80 military personnel at the end of June.

According to Google News FR — Crime (fr), an investigation lasting more than a year conducted in the Rue de Cadet area in Baillif resulted at the end of June in the arrest of three men suspected of drug trafficking.
The investigation began in March 2025. Over the following months, surveillance and evidence gathering allowed investigators to identify two individuals presented as the heads of the network, as well as several locations suspected of storing drugs.
On 23 June, a major operation was launched in the district. More than 80 military personnel took part: gendarmes from the Saint-Claude company, reinforced by the PIGR, PIGM, the PSIG units from Saint-Claude and Pointe-à-Pitre, the DSI of Saint-Claude, the Search Brigade of Saint-Claude, a dog unit, a helicopter, a drone operator, as well as brigades from Saint-Claude, Vieux-Habitants, Capesterre-Belle-Eau and Gourbeyre.
Twelve residences were searched. Investigators seized cannabis, cocaine and crack, cash, a handgun and ammunition.
The three men arrested and held in custody were presented to the public prosecutor two days after their arrest. They are now being prosecuted for drug trafficking and money laundering. One of them is also facing charges for possessing a category B weapon. For some of the accused, the facts are being pursued as legal repeat offences.
Pending trial, scheduled for 4 August before the criminal court, two of those charged were remanded in custody. The third was released on bail under judicial supervision.
