In Loggo, Aigion, a month after a mother and son were found dead in their home, the investigation continues at an undiminished pace. The 65-year-old partner of the woman remains in custody, whilst new findings come to light.
As reported by in.gr, the forensic examination of the 54-year-old woman reveals critical details. The wounds she sustained were inflicted while she was still alive. The injuries were successive, bearing no marks after her death, and ceased when she herself expired.
The statements that have been gathered remain largely contradictory with one another. Relatives and friends of the woman speak of a relationship in stasis, with the 54-year-old expressing the desire to end the cohabitation. Conversely, the partner and a close friend of the 26-year-old victim contend that the accused has no involvement whatsoever in the deaths.
The Italian accused maintains his innocence. He claims that his partner suffered from severe psychological problems, murdered her son, and subsequently took her own life. He states that he had attempted to transfer her to a psychiatric clinic, but had not informed medical staff of an incident in which she had self-harmed.
Meanwhile, the 65-year-old describes outbursts of rage on the part of the woman, as well as an instance in which her son had told him that his mother had set fire to a mobile phone battery inside the residence. The prosecution authorities await the final forensic findings, which may shed light on the circumstances of the death and clarify the mystery surrounding the case.
