Zakynthos: Two arrests of criminal organisation members for drugs and weapons
Two 41-year-old men were arrested in Zakynthos as members of an organisation that distributed drugs and weapons. Three mobile phones and €8,300 were seized.

According to antenna.gr, two members of a criminal organisation operating in Zakynthos were arrested following warrants, as part of an ongoing investigation into the complete dismantling of the group.
The two individuals are 41-year-old Greek citizens. One was a leadership member and coordinated the illegal distribution of weapons, whilst the second acted as his direct associate.
The arrest operation was carried out in an area of Zakynthos by police officers from the Narcotics Prosecution Sub-Directorate of the Hellenic Police, with the assistance of Special Operations Teams and the Zakynthos Crime Prosecution and Investigation Unit.
Three mobile phones and a sum of €8,300 in cash were found in the possession of the detainees and seized. The organisation was active in the distribution of drugs, as well as in the possession, storage and sale of weapons.
Both had previously engaged police attention for similar offences. They will be brought before the competent prosecutor.
