Croatian police brought two Slovenian citizens before the court for disturbing public order and peace under the influence of alcohol and cocaine. The incidents occurred in Zadar and Mali Lošinj, according to Slovenian portal Delo.
In the first case, a 53-year-old man was caught publicly masturbating on an open balcony of a building in the Voštarnica neighbourhood in Zadar. Following a report, police found cocaine in a small quantity at his residence. The man was taken to the station, and after questioning was charged with violating the law on public order and peace as well as the law on drug abuse. He was fined 866 euros.
In the second incident, which occurred on the night of Friday to Saturday at around 1:15 on the terrace of a bar in Mali Lošinj, a 27-year-old Slovenian man under the influence of alcohol (with 1.56 per mille in his blood) was disturbing guests, breaking glasses and verbally attacking and threatening a member of staff.
Police officers arrested him and took him to the premises, and a test for prohibited drugs showed the presence of cocaine in his system. During detention, he continued to behave aggressively, vandalised and damaged property, and made serious death threats to police officers and insulted them.
After the investigation was completed, the suspect was handed over on Wednesday evening to the custody supervisor of the Primorsko-Goranska Police Directorate in Rijeka. The competent state prosecutor's office and court filed appropriate criminal charges. He was brought before the court, and was subsequently released with certain protective measures.
