Death following brawl in Zadar: one man arrested
A 51-year-old succumbed to injuries sustained after a physical altercation in Bokanjac. Police have detained the suspect as the circumstances of the incident are being investigated.
Death following brawl in Zadar: one man arrested
During the night between Tuesday and Wednesday in the Zadar district of Bokanjac, near a cemetery, a fatal physical altercation between two men occurred. Police received notification of the incident at approximately 23:44.
Police officers attended the scene and found a 51-year-old man with serious bodily injuries. A medical team provided first aid at the location, after which the emergency services transported him to Zadar hospital. Unfortunately, the injuries were too severe and the man died during the night.
At the scene of the altercation, police immediately detained another man on whom there is reasonable suspicion of participation in the incident. He was taken for questioning, and criminal investigators are conducting an investigation in coordination with the State Attorney's Office in Zadar.
Residents from the surrounding area stated that they had not noticed any noise during the night. In the morning they saw the police arrival, but were unable to identify the vehicles that were connected to this case.
