In an apartment in the Novi Zagreb area, Zagreb police found a total of almost 7.8 kilogrammes of various narcotics and brought in four men. The search revealed packets containing more than four kilogrammes of marijuana, three kilogrammes of cocaine and an additional 560 grammes of hashish, according to a statement from the Zagreb Police Authority.

The suspects are two young men aged twenty and two older men, aged 23 and 29. According to the investigation, the older pair were purchasing larger quantities of drugs in order to sell them further. In the apartment they used, they hid narcotics, weighed them and repackaged them into smaller packets. The search was carried out yesterday based on a court order.

Police also found two digital scales with drug residue in the apartment, an automatic Red Flag rifle with two magazines and twenty rounds of 7.65 mm calibre, as well as cash suspected to be proceeds from sales.

The twenty-nine-year-old and twenty-three-year-old are additionally charged with unauthorised possession, manufacture and acquisition of weapons and explosive materials. According to suspicions, the older man handed over almost 1.14 kilogrammes of cocaine to the two twenty-year-olds yesterday morning in the Novi Zagreb area. Later, during a search of their Škoda vehicle, money was found which is likely to have come from drug trafficking.

Following completion of criminal processing, police filed a criminal report against the four suspects with the competent state attorney's office, and they were subsequently handed over to a remand supervisor.
