Bologna, Carabinieri seize 212 kilograms of drugs in one month
The Provincial Command of Bologna has concluded an offensive against drug trafficking: 14 arrested, 20 referred to prosecution in liberty and a large quantity of marijuana and hashish seized.

According to bologna24ore.it, the Provincial Command of the Carabinieri in Bologna has issued a summary of one month of operations against trafficking and dealing in narcotic substances. Daily activities have resulted in 14 arrests, 20 persons referred to prosecution in liberty and the seizure of 212 kilograms of drugs.
Marijuana constitutes the largest share of the confiscated material. An operation last week enabled the Carabinieri of the Company of San Lazzaro di Savena to locate and seize a plantation concealed in wooded areas of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, dealing a significant blow to the local chain of illegal production.
In second place are the seizures of hashish, increased by operations of the Operations Unit of the Company Bologna Centro in the provincial capital. These are followed by quantities of cocaine, lower in volume but significant for their market value: such substance maintains the highest profit margins in local trafficking networks.
