A 33-year-old man has been arrested for attempted murder after attempting to suffocate his 77-year-old mother with a pillow, following a row over the water bill.

A thirty-three-year-old man has been arrested for attempted murder in Baldissero Torinese, in the province of Turin. On Wednesday morning, during a dispute with his 77-year-old mother over payment of the water bill, the man lost control and attempted to suffocate the elderly woman by pressing a pillow against her face.
The woman, terrified, began screaming, attracting the attention of her daughter-in-law, who managed to stop the attacker. After the son left the house to go to work as if nothing had happened, the mother decided to report the incident to the carabinieri, also reporting harassment and bullying she had suffered for some time.
The military police traced the man to his workplace and arrested him.
