According to Kauno.diena.lt, the incident occurred around 3 a.m. on Staniūnų Street. Police officers stopped an Audi A4 driven by a man born in 1996 – a King Mindaugas Hussar Battalion soldier born in 2003 was travelling in it off-duty.
During an inspection, officers found and seized a polyethylene packet containing white powder, which is suspected to be a narcotic substance.
The soldier was detained and taken into custody. A pre-trial investigation has been initiated regarding the incident.
