On the night of 23 June in the town of Giedraičiai, Molėtai district, a noisy party ended in a confrontation with police.
At approximately 0:20, officers received a report of a public order breach – music playing too loudly. Upon arriving at the scene, they attempted to establish the identity of one participant, but he refused to comply with lawful demands.
During the apprehension, a man born in 1969 who was intoxicated resisted a uniformed officer of the Molėtai district police commissariat and injured him. The suspect was found to have a moderate level of intoxication – 1.70 per mille of alcohol in the blood. He was taken into custody.
The officer, born in 1995, was able to continue duty after a medical examination.
A pre-trial investigation has been initiated into the incident regarding resistance to a state official.
