In Skuodas, on Krantinės Street, the body of a murdered man was discovered on Friday night in a room of a residential building. This was reported by the Klaipėda District Chief Police Commissariat.
Officers established at the scene that the man, born in 1960, had been murdered. Police determined that the crime could have occurred at approximately 04:22.
Another man of the same age has been detained in connection with the incident. He tested positive for intoxication at 0.79 per mille. The suspect has been taken into custody.
A pre-trial investigation has been initiated for murder. Further details about the circumstances of the incident are not being released at this time.
