Vilnius police seek public assistance in identifying cross-dressed thief
On 21 August, at approximately 11.20–11.30, a person of unknown identity gained entry to a Vilnius resident's flat on Fabijoniškių Street in Vilnius through deception and stole €3,000, reports 15min.
A pre-trial investigation has been initiated by Vilnius District Chief Police Commissariat's Fifth Police Commission of Vilnius City under Article 178, Part 3 of the Lithuanian Republic Criminal Code.
According to investigators, the suspect had a masculine build and facial features, but disguised their appearance with women's clothing, a wig and sunglasses. The flat owner had installed a security camera for safety reasons – the person is recorded and visible to both the victim and the criminalists investigating the case, but their identity has not yet been established.
The capital's police are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying the person captured in the photographs.
