The 24-year-old mother of two small children disappeared on 28 October 2025. Her relatives were informed of the discovery of the remains the day after the news was relayed to her husband.

In a statement to the press, the State Police indicated that current information does not suggest that a criminal offence was committed against the woman. However, Diāna's husband does not support the version of a possible suicide and considers the circumstances of her disappearance and the discovery of her remains to be suspicious. He has expressed a demand for a new investigation.

In interviews with the media, the husband stated that what he has learned about the circumstances of the discovery, as well as what he has witnessed himself, raises many questions.
