Car crashed into residence, wall and garage on Figgjo

In the early hours of Sunday, shortly before five o'clock, police were contacted about a traffic incident on Figgjo. A car had driven straight into a private residence.

It was the homeowner himself who called the emergency services. According to police duty officer Dag Steinkopf, the driver did not flee after the first collision, but continued onwards. Shortly afterwards, the vehicle crashed into a wall, before it eventually ended up inside the garage of the same person who had called the police. There the car became stuck.

The man behind the wheel is in his 20s and came away from the incident uninjured. Investigators believe he appeared clearly intoxicated, and he is therefore to be examined by a doctor to undergo necessary tests. A recovery vehicle will be needed to remove the car, as it has become stuck on a low wall. Police have opened an investigation into the matter.
