Ali Namdar (21), who appears on Europol's list of Europe's most wanted persons, is charged with several serious violent offences in Norway, according to inyheter.no with reference to VG.
The National Criminal Investigation Service links the Swedish national to a grenade attack in Pilestredet in Oslo in autumn 2025, as well as shooting incidents in Sarpsborg and at Høybråten. Investigators believe he holds a central role in the criminal Foxtrot network.
– We believe that he has a central role in Foxtrot and he is considered to be strategically important for the network, particularly with regard to the organisation of violent offences, police prosecutor Anja Perminow Stenersen tells VG.
The charges currently relate to attempts to carry out criminal acts in Norway in autumn and winter 2025. Police state that the charges may be expanded as the investigation progresses.
Children and young people used as perpetrators
According to the National Criminal Investigation Service, Namdar organised the violent offences from abroad, and police believe children and young people have been recruited to carry out the acts on his behalf.
– He has used children and young people to carry out the violent offences, Stenersen tells VG.
The authorities are simultaneously warning young people against allowing themselves to be recruited for such offences. Police are working closely with Swedish authorities, Europol and Eurojust to have Namdar arrested and extradited for prosecution.
