A heavily intoxicated man in his twenties was arrested on Saturday evening at Lillestrøm Square after he attempted to kick police officers. The incident took place during this year's City Festival, according to Romerikes Blad.
Police were notified of the disruptive man at around 23:00 via security personnel at the scene. The officers assessed him as severely intoxicated and decided to bring him to custody.
– He was therefore to be brought to custody, but then attempted to kick the officers, says operations leader Gisle Sveen from Eastern Police District to the newspaper.
At the same time, three other men in the same age group began to argue with police about the decision. The three were ejected from Lillestrøm city centre until Sunday morning at 8:00.
The disruptive man can expect to be charged with violence against the officers. With that, the city festival was over for the small group.
