A man in the capital was taken from his own flat on Wednesday by several persons. Police in the South-East Police District are investigating the incident as unlawful deprivation of liberty.
According to police officer Bård Tangen Nilsson, police received a report that several people had been seen leaving the victim's home together with him. According to the information, the man was taken away in a car.
After approximately 30 to 45 minutes, the victim reportedly managed to get out of the vehicle of his own accord. He then contacted an acquaintance who drove him home.
Police attended the scene and made contact with the man after he had returned. They conducted an initial interview, but plan to interview him again to obtain more details about the course of events.
So far, two persons are suspected of being behind the abduction. Neither of them has been arrested.
"There is a relationship between the parties involved, so this is not a random attack," Nilsson stated.
The victim was not physically injured during the incident.
