A man in his 40s has been charged with storing 1,065 kilos of narcotics in a flat in Majorstuen in Oslo, according to tv2.no. Just over one quarter of the amount was allegedly cocaine.

According to the charge, the man managed to sell approximately 908 kilos of the substances before he was arrested. Among other things, he is alleged to have handed over around 2 kilos of cocaine on three occasions in February and March this year to a man in his early 20s in Frogner Park. The younger man is charged in the same case. Other buyers have not yet been identified.

The narcotic operation is alleged to have run from the second half of 2023 until 7 March this year, when the man in his 40s was arrested.

He is charged with breaching section 232 of the Penal Code on serious narcotic offences, which carries a sentence of up to 15 years' imprisonment. The prosecution will additionally seek confiscation of proceeds.

The trial is taking place in Oslo district court and runs until 2 December.
