A young man in his early twenties must now defend himself in Sør-Rogaland district court after police conducted an extensive seizure of illegal substances. Bygdebladet reports that the discoveries were made both in his personal vehicle and in the flat where he lives.

The sequence of events began when a patrol stopped the vehicle on Randabergveien, which lies in Randaberg outside Stavanger. Police became suspicious that the driver was under the influence of drugs. During the vehicle inspection, officers discovered narcotic substances. On the basis of this, a search of the man's home was carried out, where further discoveries were made.

The suspect is also accused of driving whilst impaired. The quantity of seized substances has been described as substantial, which the court must now assess.

The case is being heard in Sør-Rogaland district court.
