A woman in her early twenties triggered a dramatic police operation in Trondheim on Saturday morning. She left an institution with a weapon-like object in her hand, which prompted police to intervene with live ammunition.
According to operations manager Anders Fiskvik, several warning shots were fired when the woman emerged from the building. To bring the situation under control, officers also deployed a Taser.
After the woman was arrested, investigation revealed that the weapon she was carrying was not a genuine threat. It was a replica.
She was subsequently handed over to health personnel who attended to her at the scene.
