TV 2 refuses to provide footage from "Norway behind the facade" to Norwegian and Swedish police

TV 2 declines police request for footage in Wangen case
Journalisten.no reports that both Norwegian and Swedish police have requested footage from TV 2's documentary production "Norway behind the facade" – and that TV 2 has refused to release the material.
"Swedish and Norwegian police have requested our footage in the case, which TV 2 has declined to release," writes programme editor Trygve Rønningen in an email.
It was "Norway behind the facade" that triggered investigations in both countries through revelations about Steinar Wangen in what became known as the "angel of death" case. Journalist Janne Amble posed as a woman seeking help to take her own life, and arranged via messages to meet Wangen in a hotel room at Nordby Hotel in Sweden. There he was confronted by journalists and cameras, and during the ensuing conversation the production notified Swedish police.
Four people from the production – a producer, photographer, Amble, and Kadafi Zaman – were individually called in for witness interviews by Swedish police immediately after the arrest. According to Rønningen, the interviews were conducted in the same hotel room where the confrontation with Wangen had taken place, and the questions concerned the circumstances surrounding TV 2's presence at the hotel on the day in question.
Wangen is now charged with murder in Norway and with incitement to suicide in Sweden. He denies criminal liability in both cases. The Swedish case went to trial over a single court day this week. The Norwegian case begins in Vestfold District Court on Thursday 4 June and is scheduled for a total of twelve court days.
