Humberto Franco, the officer in charge of the investigation, provided details to radio station 1020 AM. He explained that the detainee is being held at the Homicides Department headquarters, following agents' collection of data that directly linked him to the case. The victim was reportedly attacked with a bladed weapon during a fight.
For now, investigators rule out that the confrontation was related to narcotics. Franco indicated that, in general, when they intervene in altercations between indigenous people in the area, they rarely find drugs; instead, they typically confirm heavy consumption of strong alcoholic beverages or arguments of a romantic nature.
The apprehended individual possesses two different identity documents, which is why police officers are carrying out work to establish who he actually is. The commissioner also raised that it is essential to coordinate efforts between different entities to intervene in the tensions that arise among the indigenous peoples living near the old terminal.
