Two men from Cluj-Napoca detained after pursuing, beating and stealing driver's car
Two suspects aged 30 and 52 pursued a car with four occupants, assaulted the 48-year-old driver and stole his vehicle. The car was found abandoned and returned to the victim.

Two men from Cluj-Napoca have been detained after pursuing a car containing four people with their own vehicle, threatening and physically assaulting them, and subsequently stealing the driver's car. According to adevarul.ro, the Cluj County Police Inspectorate announced on Saturday the detention of the two men, who are being investigated for aggravated robbery, assault or other acts of violence and threats.
The incident occurred on 21 August, around 13:00, on Bucium Street in the municipality. A 48-year-old man was driving his car with three other occupants aged between 15 and 44. Against the backdrop of contradictory discussions held previously, the two men pursued him in another vehicle. When the vehicles stopped, they threatened and physically assaulted all four occupants of the first car, according to the Cluj County Police Inspectorate.
The 48-year-old man attempted to leave with his car, but the two men continued the pursuit. After catching up with him, they struck him repeatedly, took his keys and stole his car, leaving in it.
Police officers from the Cluj-Napoca Municipal Police and the Criminal Investigation Service identified and detained the two suspects, aged 30 and 52, both residents of Cluj-Napoca municipality. The stolen car was found abandoned on a street in the city and returned to the victim.
Investigations are continuing under the supervision of the case prosecutor, to establish all circumstances in which the incident occurred and to take appropriate legal measures.
