Two young men arrested at Bogdan Vodă with 90 grams of 4-CMC drug for sale
Two men aged 19 and 25 were detained in flagrante delicto near Bogdan Vodă with 90 grams of 4-CMC intended for sale. Maramureș Tribunal ordered preventive arrest for 30 days.

Flagrant arrest at Bogdan Vodă: 90 grams of high-risk drug found in suspects' vehicle
Border police officers from SPF Vișeu de Sus – Territorial Inspectorate of the Border Police Sighetu Marmației caught in flagrante delicto, on the evening of 27 July 2026, two men aged 19 and 25, near the town of Bogdan Vodă, Maramureș County. According to politiadefrontiera.ro, the vehicle they were travelling in contained approximately 90 grams of high-risk psychoactive substance (4-CMC), intended for sale.
The following day, on 28 July 2026, prosecutors from the Directorate for the Investigation of Organised Crime and Terrorism – Maramureș Territorial Bureau ordered the detention of the two defendants. They are being investigated for trafficking in high-risk drugs and conducting, without legal authority, operations with products capable of having psychoactive effects.
From the evidence gathered in the case, it emerged that during July 2026, the two individuals obtained, possessed and sold psychoactive substances in crystalline form (NEP) within Maramureș County. Some of these substances were seized during the criminal investigation.
Also on 28 July, the judge for rights and freedoms at Maramureș Tribunal ordered the preventive arrest of both defendants for a period of 30 days.
The activities were carried out in coordination with DIICOT prosecutors and with the support of police officers from the Maramureș Organised Crime Combat Service.
The persons under investigation benefit, throughout the duration of the criminal proceedings, from the rights and guarantees provided by the Code of Criminal Procedure, including the presumption of innocence.
