DIICOT has sent for trial a case stemming from the Tate Brothers case, targeting accomplice Georgiana Naghel for violence and illegal access to an electronic device belonging to a victim in 2021.

According to tvrinfo.ro, DIICOT sent for trial on Thursday at Ilfov Court a case stemming from the major case targeting brothers Andrew and Tristan Tate. The case concerns Georgiana Naghel, one of two accomplices of the Tate brothers, and refers to acts committed in 2021 against one of the victims from the main human trafficking case.
According to a statement issued on 19 June, prosecutors allege that Naghel unlawfully accessed an electronic device belonging to the victim and published on her social media accounts "materials (...) which depicted the victim in compromising situations". The purpose of the action, according to DIICOT, was revenge — the victim had refused to produce pornographic material and had requested permission to leave the Tate brothers' property. At the same time, the victim was also beaten, prosecutors state.
The offences retained in this case are assault or other acts of violence and unlawful access to a computer system. Tristan Tate is also among the persons sent for trial in this case, alongside Naghel.
The case stems from DIICOT's major case file, in which Andrew and Tristan Tate, Georgiana Naghel and Luana Radu were accused of forming an organised criminal group, human trafficking and rape. That case was returned to prosecutors by judges at the end of 2024.
Investigations are continuing on several fronts. Two days before this case was sent for trial, DIICOT had extended criminal prosecution in the case of Andrew Tate, adding charges of human trafficking and money laundering.
