Cristina Trăilă, suspect in DNA case linked to businessman Fănel Bogos

Cristina Trăilă, Government Secretary General and former PNL deputy, presented herself on Tuesday at the headquarters of the National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA), where she was questioned in the capacity of a suspect, according to Jurnalul.ro, citing political and judicial sources contacted by MEDIAFAX.

The hearings are taking place in the case of businessman Fănel Bogos, remanded in custody for purchase of influence in the DNA Vaslui case. According to the same sources, Trăilă is targeted in connection with an act of complicity in an offence provided for by Article 13 of Law 78/2000.

The case is said to have been opened during the period when Cristina Chiriac headed DNA Iași. To date, anticorruption prosecutors have offered no official confirmation regarding the subject matter of the case or the procedural status of Cristina Trăilă.

Trăilă was appointed to the position of Government Secretary General, with ministerial rank, in April 2025.
