A bus driver from Mediaș has been arrested in custody after losing control with 1.26 mg/l alcohol in his breath and colliding with 12 cars. Twenty-two people were involved, with four hospitalised.

A bus driver from the municipality of Mediaș has been arrested in custody after causing an accident involving 12 cars and 22 people, according to radiocluj.ro.
The incident occurred on Mihai Eminescu street in Mediaș. The bus driver lost control of his direction of travel and collided with several cars that were parked or in traffic.
Tested immediately after the accident with a breathalyser device, the driver recorded a reading of 1.26 mg/l pure alcohol in his exhaled air.
In total, 22 people were involved — 20 adults and two children — according to the Sibiu County Police Inspectorate. The bus driver and three other people suffered bodily injuries and were transported to hospital for medical care.
