A further 15 people have been arrested, 14 of them in Sweden, in the ongoing international police operation against a drug network.

Police have struck again against a large-scale international drug network. During the latest arrests, 14 people were taken into custody on Swedish soil and a further one abroad, according to Sydsvenskan.
The raid is part of an operation designated "Candy". A total of 27 people have been remanded in custody since work began to map the operation. Crime investigators do not rule out that further people may be remanded in the future. The timing of the latest arrests has not been established.
The entire story began when police seized two mobile telephones in western Sweden in autumn 2023. Data from these devices pointed to routes leading to a global smuggling network.
A significant part of the illegal business operation has involved bringing drugs into Australia. Criminals have used a number of companies to conceal the trade and launder illegal proceeds. In March, the first major raid was carried out, when 13 people with Swedish citizenship were arrested. Police operations have also taken place in Spain, Thailand, Australia and Germany.
The suspected crimes include particularly serious drug offences and serious money laundering.
