A man in his 40s is charged with fraud in Kristianstad after defrauding an elderly woman of silver spoons. The man previously worked in home care and got to know the woman, who is in her 60s, during his employment.
After being dismissed, he visited the woman and is alleged to have carried out what is known as a silver spoon con. He is accused of pretending to value the woman's silver spoons and then taking them with him. The spoons were later found in a box at the man's home.
The incident was reported to police on 26 March this year. The man denies the charges.
