A 59-year-old man is sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of Anders and Lena Nordahl in Klippan. The Court of Appeal over Skåne and Blekinge confirms the district court's verdict.

The Court of Appeal over Skåne and Blekinge has upheld a life imprisonment sentence for the 59-year-old man convicted of murdering the couple Anders and Lena Nordahl in their home in Klippan, according to SVT Nyheter.
The couple were found beaten to death in May last year by their daughter Petra Lindberg, after they failed to appear at a children's party on Friday afternoon. A week after the discovery, the 59-year-old man was arrested, and Helsingborg District Court sentenced him to life imprisonment. The Court of Appeal now confirms the same verdict.
"A vindication, the court has seen how terrible it was," says Petra Lindberg.
She describes the verdict as the best possible outcome under the circumstances.
"It is the vindication we can get. As long as the perpetrator says he cannot remember, we will not get an apology from him or know exactly what happened," says Petra Lindberg.
She states that the family is now trying to process what happened.
"We are trying to find our own acceptance in what has occurred," she says.
The convicted man has consistently denied the crime and claimed that he does not remember the night the couple were murdered. The district court assessed that this claim was contradicted by the technical evidence.
The evidence against the man was strong. His wallet with driving licence was found on the floor of the couple's home, fingerprints from him were found in the house, and surveillance footage showed him walking around Klippan's town centre after the murder.
No clear motive has ever been established. The man did not know the couple, and prosecutor Kristin Vernet has previously described the murders as an "impulsive act".
