A 55-year-old woman was found dead in a flat in Helsingborg on Friday evening. A 50-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder but was released on Sunday.

A 55-year-old woman was found dead in a flat in Helsingborg on Friday evening, reports svt.se. Police were called to a residential area in Rosengården at around 5 p.m. and arrested a 50-year-old man who was in the flat.
– The man arrested by police is suspected of murder. They know each other, but we cannot name their relationship, says Filip Annas, police press spokesperson.
It remains unclear how the woman died. The flat was cordoned off for forensic examination and police conducted door-to-door enquiries in the area to gather witness statements.
On Sunday, the prosecutor decided that the man should be released.
– An assessment has been made that there are no grounds for continued detention even though he remains a suspect at this time, says Cecilia Andersson, prosecutor.
