A man now faces charges after attempting to drive at several security guards in Gothenburg port. The incident occurred following a violent driving spree through the city, reports Göteborgs-Posten.
According to the investigation, the man now charged was behind the wheel of a van under the influence of nitrous oxide. He is alleged to have driven in an aggressive manner and directed the vehicle towards the guards.
When the security guards surrounded the van and drew their service weapons to apprehend the man, they saw that he had a large black balloon in his mouth. Witness accounts from the scene describe how the guards pulled him from the vehicle and apprehended him.
The prosecutor has brought charges against the man for attempted aggravated assault alternatively aggravated drink-driving under the influence of nitrous oxide.
