A man in his 30s suffered serious injuries to his neck following an attack with a bottle on the island of Brännö in Gothenburg's archipelago. A man in his 20s is now in custody suspected of aggravated assault.

A man in his 30s was attacked with a bottle and injured in the neck on Brännö in Gothenburg's archipelago during midsummer's eve. He was taken to hospital with severe bleeding, but his condition is not considered life-threatening.
Police have arrested and taken into custody a man in his 20s suspected of aggravated assault. According to reports to Göteborgs-Posten, the two men did not appear to have known each other previously.
– It is a person unknown to the victim, in other words an unprovoked attack, said on-duty officer Magnus Schildt to the newspaper.
