A man has died from injuries in Föllinge and a suspected perpetrator has been arrested. Police cordoned off the crime scene and initiated interviews.
Suspected murder in Föllinge – man arrested following emergency call
A man has died as a result of injuries in Föllinge in Krokoms municipality, reports svt.se. A person has been arrested, suspected of the murder.
The emergency call came in to police at 17:22. Less than an hour later, police reported that a patrol had been called to the location following reports of an injured person. The suspected perpetrator was arrested shortly after the emergency call came in.
Police are now conducting several investigative measures. Interviews are being held with the arrested man and with other individuals who may provide information to the investigation. The suspected crime scene is cordoned off and several police patrols are present at the location, including a dog patrol.
Among the questions police are seeking answers to are the circumstances surrounding how many people were at the address when the suspected crime occurred.
Police state on their website that there is no danger to the public and welcome information from people who may have seen anything regarding the incident.
Krokoms municipality has activated its POSOM group – Psykiskt och socialt omhändertagande – a municipal emergency preparedness organisation that intervenes in serious incidents.
