Two charged following rapper Gaboro's death in Norrköping car park

A 22-year-old man is charged with murder and aggravated weapons offence, and a 30-year-old man is charged with complicity in murder – following rapper Gaboro being shot dead in a multi-storey car park in Norrköping in December 2024, reports aftonbladet.se.

Gaboro had visited a gymnasium in the building and was heading to his car in the adjacent car park when the perpetrator was waiting for him. He attempted to flee but was struck by five shots and fell to the garage floor.

"It is a question of a pure execution," says senior prosecutor Thomas Ramstedt, investigation leader, in a statement.

The perpetrator filmed the murder and uploaded the clip to social media the same evening. The video received wide circulation and shows, according to the prosecutor, an extremely brutal sequence of events. In the clip, screams of anguish can be heard.

"All murders are abominable, but this murder is perhaps one of the worst that I and my investigative team have undertaken. When someone is executed whilst lying on the ground begging for their life whilst the perpetrator films their deed, it can scarcely become worse," says Jan Staaf, investigator at the police's department for serious crimes.

The film has, according to prosecutor Ramstedt, played a central role in the investigation. He describes it as an important piece of the puzzle with several decisive details, despite the material being both terrible and disturbing.

The suspected instigator allegedly recruited the shooter via chat groups, according to police. The suspected 22-year-old shooter had no prior connection to Gaboro and was identified through DNA traces in the car park – traces which were subsequently linked to him with the aid of genealogical research.

In addition to the murder of Gaboro, the 22-year-old is also charged with attempted murder and aggravated weapons offence, after he is suspected of shooting at a residence in December 2024. Furthermore, he is charged with an additional aggravated weapons offence committed in March 2025.

"We have, amongst other things, technical evidence and interview statements. It has been a very extensive and complicated investigation which has required persistence, and that work has produced results," says prosecutor Ramstedt.
