Man shot in car park in Jordbro – attempted murder investigation underway
A man was shot in an outdoor car park in Jordbro, outside Haninge, on Tuesday evening. Police have launched an investigation into attempted murder.
Shooting in Jordbro – police search for perpetrator
SVT Nyheter reports that a man was shot in an outdoor car park in the Haninge suburb of Jordbro on Tuesday evening. The alarm was received by police at 18.42.
– He is said to be conscious and able to speak, but is on his way to hospital now, said Carina Skagerlind, spokeswoman for Stockholm Police, at around 19:00.
Witnesses reported seeing around a dozen police cars moving along the motorway towards Haninge after residents in the area reported hearing loud bangs. Police cordoned off the crime scene for technical examination and used both drones and a helicopter in the search for a perpetrator.
– It is too early to say much more, but we are searching for a perpetrator, securing evidence and speaking to any potential witnesses, said Skagerlind.
The scene remained cordoned off at 21:00 in the evening.
– It will remain that way for some time yet, she added.
Stockholm Police have launched a preliminary investigation into attempted murder. Police did not confirm how many shots were fired at the time of reporting.
