Shortly before 01.00, police were called to an address in Boden following a brawl. A man in his 40s is reported to have assaulted another man and threatened him with a blunt object. The man was arrested on suspicion of assault and serious unlawful threats. A prosecutor is to decide whether he should be remanded in custody following questioning. In Gällivare town centre, police stopped a driver in his 20s at around half past one. The driver tested positive on the preliminary breath test and was taken for further testing. A report of drink-driving was filed.
In total, five people were taken into custody in Luleå under LOB after midnight. One of them is suspected of a minor drug offence through personal use. A further person was taken into custody in Kiruna and one in Gällivare during the same night.
