Person shot in car park in Jordbro south of Stockholm
A person was shot in a car park in Jordbro south of Stockholm shortly after 17.30. A preliminary investigation into attempted murder has been initiated and no perpetrator has been arrested.
Shooting in Jordbro – attempted murder under investigation
Shortly after 17.30, police were called to a car park in Jordbro, south of Stockholm, after several people heard gunshots. The shooting occurred in a residential area near Jordbro station, according to Svenska Dagbladet.
– We are sending a large contingent there and can confirm that a person has been shot, says Carina Skagerlind at Stockholm Police.
The injured person was transported to hospital by ambulance and was conscious at the time of transport.
Crime scene cordoned off
Police are conducting technical investigation at the scene and speaking with witnesses.
– We have cordoned off the crime scene and are also checking a number of roads in the surrounding area, says Skagerlind.
A search for the perpetrator was ongoing during the evening and night. Several people were checked but no one had been arrested at that point. A preliminary investigation into attempted murder has been initiated.
