Two people have been remanded in custody on suspicion of drugs offences in Degerfors after members of the public alerted police to suspected digging in the forest.

A man was arrested on Ramshöjden in Degerfors on Tuesday, 28 April after members of the public raised the alarm with police. They had seen him carrying tools towards the ground in a forest area.
When the patrol arrived, the man was arrested directly at the scene. Upon closer examination of the vehicle he had used, a substantial quantity of drugs was found.
A further individual has also been brought into the investigation and is now remanded in custody. Both are suspected of offences related to illegal substances, according to Nya Wermlands-Tidningen.
The arrest took place after witnesses who were out on the slopes for exercise alerted the authorities to the suspected activity in the terrain.
