A young man named Adam stood naked on a hill for several hours whilst being beaten repeatedly. This was punishment for having stopped working for a criminal gang.
Since leaving the network, Adam has been attacked four times over the course of six months. Many who attempt to break with their past are subjected to threats and violence – in some cases, people have even been killed.
Now the man's mother speaks about the constant fear the family lives in. School worked well for Adam until secondary school, when things began to change.
The gang has now demanded he pay fabricated fines for ceasing to sell their narcotics. According to Blekinge Läns Tidning, the family lives in constant dread.
