A serious traffic accident occurred in the Škofja Loka municipality, in which a lorry driver reversed his vehicle and struck a pedestrian. A prohibited drug was discovered during the subsequent investigation.

On Monday morning, around half past ten, a serious traffic accident occurred in the Grenec area in the Škofja Loka municipality. A 28-year-old man struck a woman who was walking on the road while reversing a lorry. The consequences of the collision were severe for her.
Doctors provided initial assistance at the scene, and she was then transported by ambulance to Ljubljana Clinical Centre.
Kranj police officers conducted drug tests on the person responsible. The results showed he had cocaine in his system. For this reason, they ordered a more detailed medical examination.
An investigation is now underway against the driver on suspicion of a criminal offence against road traffic safety.
