Man detained for 20 days in La Paz, Entre Ríos, over threats and accumulated charges
A 31-year-old man was detained for 20 days at La Paz Police Headquarters following his apprehension on suspicion of firearms threats and multiple prior offences.

Twenty-day detention for "Entrerriano Resortín" over threats and accumulated prior offences
A 31-year-old man will be detained for 20 days at the Departmental Police Headquarters in La Paz, province of Entre Ríos, after being apprehended on Wednesday, 28 October. According to elonce.com, the measure was ordered due to various accumulated charges and the suspect remains at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor's office.
The operation took place at approximately 9:10 in the vicinity of Parque La Aventura, arising from a conflict that allegedly began in the barrio Sin Ley neighbourhood of the locality. Police indicated that the incident would be linked to long-standing confrontations between the parties involved.
Police sources confirmed to the outlet that the detainee has numerous prior offences related to neighbourhood disputes and alleged narcotics trafficking. The investigation that led to his apprehension points specifically to alleged threats made with a firearm.
Officers from the Radio Command and the Special Guard of La Paz Departmental Headquarters participated in the operation. Subsequently, the involvement of personnel from the Minors and Gender Violence Police Station was requested.
The duty prosecutor ordered the apprehension of the suspect and the seizure of the vehicle in which he was travelling. Officers conducted a preventive pat-down and searched the vehicle, with negative results, police confirmed.
The nickname and the Chaco precedent
The detainee was given the nickname "Entrerriano Resortín" because of his physical resemblance to another man nicknamed "Resortín", who was detained in March 2023 in Resistencia, Chaco. In that case, the suspect—who moved about on crutches and had an amputated leg—was captured by security cameras entering a dwelling on Hacheros street at number 2000 to steal a shovel. He was intercepted by police with the stolen item and later charged with theft with breaking and entering.
The man from La Paz also has an amputated leg, in his case the left one, as a result of a traffic accident that occurred in 2025 in which he was struck by a vehicle whilst riding a motorcycle.
