During the second round presidential runoff on 21 June, Colombian authorities detained three individuals for alleged electoral offences and a further 31 who had active arrest warrants.

On Sunday 21 June, during the presidential runoff, the Office of the Attorney General released its initial report on criminal incidents recorded during the voting day. The document notes the detention of three individuals linked to possible electoral offences.
One of the cases occurred in Villavicencio, Meta, where a man attempted to assume the identity of a polling station witness. In Puerto Inírida, Guainía, authorities caught a citizen attempting to vote for someone else. In Valledupar, Cesar, another individual was detained after damaging a ballot box.
In addition to these arrests, law enforcement carried out 31 apprehensions of people who had outstanding judicial warrants. Among the crimes that prompted these orders are kidnapping, murder, sexual abuse, attacks against public officials, extortion, cattle theft and prison escape. These operations took place in several departments: Bogotá, Caquetá, Atlántico, Antioquia, Cauca and Nariño.
In another notable incident, troops from the National Army intercepted a van in Cantagallo, Bolívar, in which three occupants were transporting 114 million pesos in cash. The Specialised Directorate against Money Laundering will investigate the origin and destination of the money.
Meanwhile, identity verification protocols made it possible to locate 16 people reported as missing, who presented themselves at the polls in localities in Quindío, Caldas, Antioquia, Bogotá, Norte de Santander, Valle del Cauca, Risaralda, Boyacá, Huila and Magdalena.
In Nariño, specifically in Ricaurte, the Judicial Police are investigating complaints about alleged threats from an illegal armed organisation against polling jurors. The case was reported to the Electoral Registry and to the competent authorities to preserve the integrity of the process in that region.
For this electoral day, the investigating body deployed a contingent of 8,000 prosecutors, CTI agents and administrative staff across 35 regional offices nationwide, with the mission of overseeing the conduct of the election and responding to citizen complaints.
