A man who participated in an armed robbery in the La Castellana neighbourhood was detained along with an accomplice. When police verified his identity, they discovered he was wanted for a previous crime.

An armed assault in the La Castellana neighbourhood, in the Barrios Unidos locality, allowed authorities to detain a man who already had a court order for a murder committed previously.
Two criminals who were travelling on a motorcycle intercepted a pedestrian, took their mobile device and attacked them with a sharp weapon when they attempted to resist the robbery. In response to calls from residents of the area, Metropolitan Police patrol officers attended the scene and arrested both offenders at the moment of the crime.
During the procedure, one of the detainees attempted to conceal their true identity by presenting a false identity card. However, following inquiries in the information systems, officers discovered that there was an outstanding arrest warrant against him for murder.
The mobile phone, with an estimated value of four million pesos, was returned to the victim. The vehicle in which the robbers were travelling was handed over to the authorities.
A judge overseeing procedural safeguards decided to send the accused to prison while proceedings against him continue. He will have to answer for both the recent robbery and the crime attributed to him from before.
