Four people were arrested for disruption of the electoral process and fraudulent voting in Cesar, Córdoba, Antioquia and Guainía, whilst a further 87 were apprehended in 61 municipalities for homicide, criminal conspiracy and sexual offences.

Colombian authorities reported the apprehension of four individuals during the second presidential runoff on 21 June, accused of undermining the conduct of the democratic process. The arrests were carried out in the departments of Cesar, Córdoba, Antioquia and Guainía, according to data released by El Heraldo.
The incidents under investigation relate to electoral disorder and casting of votes with irregularities. Although these isolated incidents were recorded, the armed institution assessed the day favourably as regards security and respect for citizens' rights across the country.
The operations deployed that Sunday yielded additional figures: in 61 different localities, 87 people were arrested for conduct related to deprivation of life, unlawful association and sexual assaults.
One of the procedures that attracted the most attention occurred in Cantagallo, Bolívar, where agents seized more than 109 million pesos and imprisoned an individual for money laundering. The intervention sought to prevent potential damage to the integrity of the voting process.
In terms of public order, 1,021 sanctions were applied for behaviour that contravenes peaceful coexistence, with greatest frequency in Bogotá, Cali and Villavicencio. Through the Uriel platform, 81 complaints about possible electoral irregularities were filed, whilst the Anti-Corruption Hotline 157 received 66 reports.
Once voting had concluded, citizen gatherings took place in 82 municipalities and in the capital. The public force accompanied and monitored each of these demonstrations to safeguard fundamental rights and public order. However, in four specific situations recorded in Cali and Bogotá, intervention by the Dialogue and Order Maintenance Unit was necessary. As a result, four members of the institution were injured and two protesters were arrested for damage to other people's property.
