A part of a human body was found in Kynšperk nad Ohří. Police are guarding the scene and dozens of officers have been engaged in the search.
Discovery of human remains in Kynšperk occupies dozens of police officers
Sokolovsky.denik.cz reports that a part of a human body was found in Kynšperk nad Ohří in the Sokolov district. Police officers are carrying out initial procedures at the scene and securing evidence.
"A part of a human body was found in Kynšperk nad Ohří in the Sokolov district. We are currently carrying out initial procedures at the scene. We will release further information as soon as the circumstances of the case allow," said police spokesperson Jakub Kopřiva.
The identity of the deceased person remains unknown. Criminalists have also not disclosed the circumstances of the discovery, nor whether there is suspicion of third-party involvement.
The discovery site is under police surveillance. Several dozens of officers have been engaged in the search of the surrounding area. "We have dog handlers with service dogs at our disposal, as well as officers from the local municipal police and colleagues from the fire service," added Kopřiva.
Investigators have announced that they will release further information as soon as the circumstances of the case permit.
