Man with knife at Anděl: police use taser, aggressor under influence of drugs

Prague police had to intervene on Monday morning against an aggressive man armed with a knife in the Prague Anděl area in front of the Smíchov shopping centre. The incident required the use of an electric stun gun.

The man behaved unpredictably and refused to communicate with the patrol. He then headed towards a stop where a larger group of people were located. Police therefore used a taser to incapacitate the man. He suffered injuries in the fall, which were subsequently treated. According to a source from iDNES.cz, later tests showed that he was under the influence of a combination of hard drugs.

The suspect now faces charges of disorderly conduct.
