Under-age pupil from Hodonín planned murder – police closed case due to age
South Moravian police closed a case involving preparation of murder allegedly planned by a pupil of an elementary school in Hodonín. The girl was younger than 15 years old; the matter now proceeds to a juvenile court.

South Moravian police closed a case in which they had been investigating since last year a suspicion of murder preparation by a pupil of Vančurova elementary school in Hodonín. The reason for closure is the girl's age – at the time of the planned act, she was younger than fifteen years old.
According to information from cnn.iprima.cz, police officers intervened at the school in question in February last year after it emerged that the girl was planning an attack on fellow pupils and school staff. She recorded her intentions in a diary and searched on social networks for ways to carry out the act.
Criminal proceedings were initiated in the matter for an act otherwise punishable – specifically murder at the stage of preparation. Investigators requested expert opinions in the field of healthcare, which were completed in recent days and delivered to police.
"Given the girl's age, it was not possible to initiate criminal prosecution. Police therefore closed the case in accordance with the law due to inadmissibility of criminal prosecution," said South Moravian police spokesperson Pavel Šváb.
The file now proceeds through the regional state prosecutor's office to a juvenile court. That court may decide on, for example, the imposition of remedial measures. Police, citing the girl's age, refused to disclose any further details about the case.
