Police have arrested a woman suspected of murdering a child in Kynšperk nad Ohří. According to sokolovsky.denik.cz, she is believed to be the child's mother.

Police have arrested a person suspected of dismembering a child in Kynšperk nad Ohří in the Sokolov district, sokolovsky.denik.cz reported. The suspect is, according to available information, a woman – allegedly the child's mother.
"In connection with the incident that occurred in Kynšperk nad Ohří, we have arrested a person suspected of this violent crime. We are currently conducting the necessary steps and will provide further details as soon as circumstances allow. We want to assure the public that there is currently no danger," said police spokesperson Jakub Kopřiva on Thursday evening.
A search was launched after rescue workers found a child's arm separated at the shoulder from the body the previous evening. Police searched the area around the discovery site throughout the day, the banks of the Ohře river and the adjacent cycle path. The operation was suspended in the afternoon and shortly afterwards confirmation came of the suspect's arrest.
Police have promised to release details of the case as soon as circumstances allow.
